Measuring and Cutting the Weather Strip
Once the surface is prepared, measure the lengths of the areas where you will install the weather strip. Use a tape measure to get accurate measurements, especially on irregular surfaces, as they may require custom cuts for a perfect fit.
After measuring, cut the self-adhesive foam weather strip to the appropriate lengths. A sharp utility knife or scissors will work best for this task. Make sure the cuts are clean and straight to ensure a proper seal when applied.
